Certification
Distance Education Certification
Recertification Requirements: multiple pathways!
Not a standardized, one-size-fits-all recertification process.
Aim: recognize and build upon what faculty are already doing.
- Flexibility: faculty choose to complete 1 pathway within 3 years. Once you complete recertification, the clock (3 years) begins again.
- POCR (rigorous, best for frequent online instructors)
- FRC-led course (Recertification)
- Workshops (FRC, @One, etc.)
- Course Survey (work one-on-one to design an online course; focus on course quality & RSI)
Completion tracked via Canvas Credentials (formerly known as Badgr)
Builds a digital record of professional growth
