CalKIDS

In 2022, California launched the CalKIDS Program to set up savings accounts of $500 to $1,500 for over 3.9 million low-income public school students from grades 1 to 12, as well as recent high school graduates from 2021 to 2023 who are now in California Community Colleges. The program is managed by the ScholarShare Investment Board, a state agency led by the State Treasurer.
